OGGI
Caffé in Italian means "warm
and cozy restaurant". But it is the quality
of the food that makes this award-winning restaurant so memorable.
Located in a small, "cozy" shopping center in the
posh North Bay Village neighborhood of Miami Beach, Oggi Caffé's
reputation for Italian specialty foods and homemade pasta
has created an international following for premier diners
worldwide.

Created
by Alex Portela and Eloy Roy in 1989 as an Italian restaurant
and pasta factory, Oggi's homemade pastas are widely requested
by some of the most popular restaurants in trendy South Florida
such as News Café in Miami Beach, Zarabamba in Coral
Gables, and Oggi's sister restaurant Da
Vinci Caffé in Bay Harbour.
| The
founders and owners, Alex Portela and Eloy Roy, will tell
you their key to success and their secret for having customers
return: "Consistency in the quality of the food".
With the special touch of Chef Ricardo Tognozzi, Oggi
has an excellent variety of dishes that will please any
palate, gourmet or family diner. |
The freshest ingredients, pastas and fish, and the creative
genius of Tognazzi give Oggi that award-winning combination
of delicious and varied dishes which are several of the reasons
Oggi has been selected as the winner of the "Food and
Best Ambiance Award for 2001" by Where Miami Magazine.
Both Portela and Roy credit their Executive Chef, Ricardo,
for the restaurant's success.

More than 55 favorable reviews, stand-out write-ups in several
international newspapers, and a solid presence in the Internet
with their unique website, have resulted in Oggi being consistently
rated in the Top 10 Italian restaurants in Florida. However,
this honor is the result of hard work and because the owners
are in close touch with their customers, their comments, and
their suggestions.
On several occasions the well-known food magazine Bon Appetite
has published Oggi's recipes. The well-respected South Florida
daily newspapers The Miami Herald and the El Nuevo Herald
on more than one occasion have included articles about Portela
and Roy, explaining how two friends and "two Ninjas"
transformed their vision of business, service, and the inspiration
to prepare award-winning food in a restaurant like Oggi.
Today, Oggi Caffé has a different look than it did
12 years ago. But the concept of service, the quality of its
pastas, the selection of dishes, and the ambiance created
for each customer's dining experience is unequaled. Mireidy
Fernandez from The Miami Herald in an article entitled "A
Passion for the Perfect Pasta" explained in the most
perfect way why Oggi has been selected as the Italian restaurant
of choice in the North Bay Village area
..not only for
lunch, but also for dinner.
We invite you to find out for yourself why our "warm
and cozy restaurant" will have you coming
back for more.
